What is a bio-ethanol fireplace?
A bio-ethanol fireplace is a decorative fireplace that runs on bio-ethanol: a renewable, biological fuel produced from crops such as corn, wheat, rye and sugar beet. When it burns, it releases virtually nothing more than water vapour and a small amount of CO₂, comparable to a lit candle. There is no soot, no smoke and no unpleasant odour. As a result, an ethanol fireplace requires no flue or chimney and can be placed in almost any space: on the wall, as a freestanding object, or as a striking room divider.
